Vinted reports 47% growth in GMV

Consumers sold goods worth 10.8 billion euros on second-hand marketplace Vinted in 2025. That is an increase of almost 50 percent, compared to 2024. The company’s revenue reached 1.1 billion euros, also a record high. According to CEO Thomas Plantenga, Vinted delivered strong results across every growth vector. One of these is its delivery services for external clients.

Plantenga had already indicated last November that Vinted would surpass the 10 billion euro GMV milestone. The total came in at 10.8 billion euros, the company announced today, representing a 47 percent increase. Revenue grew almost as quickly, rising 38 percent to 1.1 billion euros.

Vinted was profitable for the third consecutive year, although profitability declined somewhat, with adjusted EBITDA of 151 million euros (down 5 percent) and net profits of 62 million euros (down 19 percent).

Investments

In 2025 – “a big year for Vinted,” according to Plantenga – the company made significant investments, it said in its annual results statement: “Profits were lower as Vinted invested to grow the German market, expanded Vinted Marketplace categories, expanded Vinted Go’s carrier services to Portugal and Spain, and introduced Vinted Pay’s wallet.”

Vinted invested to grow the German market

Vinted says it performed well in its core fashion categories, particularly women’s and children’s clothing. The company from Lithuania became the leading clothing retailer in France, achieving higher sales volumes than Amazon and local competitors. The C2C marketplace also expanded into categories such as sports and collectibles. Geographic expansion was achieved through launches in Latvia, Estonia and Slovenia.

Focus on cost

Vinted continues to focus on costs, the company emphasizes. “To make second-hand first choice, we know what we need to do”, says Plantenga. “We need to be the most cost-efficient, the most reliable and the easiest to use. Therefore, we need to build an ecosystem for C2C second-hand trade that maximizes value for members at the lowest possible cost.”

‘We need to build an ecosystem for second-hand trade’

Vinted is “strengthening the rails that power the marketplace”, according to the CEO: shipping and payments. The recommerce leader is doing so through its services Vinted Go and Vinted Pay.

Vinted Go Carrier

Vinted provides members with access to more than 500,000 pick-up and drop-off points across Europe. During 2025, Vinted Go began testing additional uses for its logistics infrastructure, including delivery services for external clients. Vinted Go Carrier now operates in five markets: Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Portugal and Spain.

Vinted Pay

Vinted Pay has started onboarding customers to its own wallet solution. This is expected to reduce payment-related costs and dependencies over time.
